A learning app for school subjects, not a beginner German course
Kabutschi is for children who already learn through a German curriculum and need structured practice for their current lessons. It is not an app for learning German as a foreign language from zero.
Families can find online maths practice, German and English school-subject exercises, science and humanities topics, class-test preparation, and a parent view of learning progress. The starting point is always the child's grade, the selected Saxony, Thuringia, or Berlin-Brandenburg curriculum option, and the material currently taught at school.

Learning with stars, streaks & a piggy bank
Kabutschi rewards effort, not perfection. No time pressure, no exposure: the weekly leaderboard is fully anonymous. Your child sees their rank, but nobody sees names. Every child practises at their own pace.
Collect stars
Every 5 correct answers (in total, across all days) earns a star. On the home screen your child can see how many stars they have and how many correct answers remain until the next one.
Today's streak
Every correct answer today counts towards the daily streak. The 🔥 symbol shows how many correct answers have been given that day. The streak resets the next day, with no guilt trips.
Piggy bank (real pocket money)
You set an individual monthly reward budget for each child in the parent dashboard and choose EGP, USD, or EUR. Each correct answer adds a small amount in the selected currency. The longer today's streak, the higher the amount (levels 1 to 8). Your child watches the balance grow and you decide when to pay out.
Mini-game break
After 10 correct answers in a row, a short memory game opens. It is a brief pause before the exercises continue. Skipping and taking a break are always possible.
For parents: You control the budget, payout and quiet mode ("calm mode"). In class-test mode there are no reward levels. Only the material matters, just like at school.

Kabutschi helps children consolidate classroom content through short, curriculum-aligned practice: the child answers actively, receives immediate feedback, and sees which topics need more work. Parents can follow progress without having to supervise every question.
Which schools is Kabutschi designed for?
Kabutschi is designed for children who follow a German curriculum. In Saxony and Thuringia, coverage spans primary school (grades 1–4) and Gymnasium (grades 5–7). Berlin-Brandenburg is available for grades 1–7 with its own official subject structure. The school and teacher remain the final reference for the current subject and teaching order.
Is there a trial period?
Payment is collected when you subscribe. You can cancel and request a full refund within 14 days after the first payment from the parent portal. Refunds are returned to the original payment method after review.
What data is stored about my child?
Only the essentials: first name, grade level, curriculum and practice progress. No last name, no photos, no location, no ads, no tracking, and no access to camera or microphone. After the account expires, data is deleted automatically after 90 days. Details in the Privacy Policy.
How much screen time does this mean?
Kabutschi is built for short sessions. 10 to 15 minutes a day is plenty. There is no time pressure and no endless play loop: when practice is done, it's done. The parent dashboard shows daily study time, and calm mode lets you pause rewards at any time.
How does payment in EGP work?
You pay securely by credit card. Access is activated instantly and automatically. The fixed price is 550 EGP per month or 5,000 EGP per year per child.
Does each child cost 550 EGP?
Yes. The flat rate is 550 EGP per child per month, with no sibling discount. The annual price is 5,000 EGP per child. Multiple children can be managed within one parent account.
How do I manage or cancel auto-renew?
Auto-renew starts only after your explicit consent during payment. You can see the next expected amount, retry a failed payment, use a new card, cancel at the end of the paid period, or request the first-payment refund during the 14-day period in the parent portal.
Which devices does Kabutschi run on?
In the browser on any device: Windows, Mac, Android or iOS. No installation required. Can be saved as a PWA on the home screen.
